I have never met a bride more organized and ready to go then when I met Marissa eight months prior to their wedding. She knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it. When she said she needed a wedding planner, it was the first time I thought are you sure you need one? (Kidding) Joking aside, Marissa and Nate were such an adorable couple. They each complimented each other so perfectly. Coming from the midwest, the rivalries between in state schools are very serious but in the end, they put their differences aside for love. You see, Marissa went to Oklahoma, and Nate went to Oklahoma State. Being the amazing bride Marissa was though she called me for a top secret surprise that only me and the person coming would know. She decided to surprise Nate with Pistal Pete (Oklahoma State’s mascot). It was quite the journey coming here as he couldn’t fly because of the size of his head so he had to drive from Oklahoma State to Las Vegas. This could not have been a better surprise. Nate and his groomsmen looked like a child seeing Santa. It was such a memorable moment. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous from start to finish as I knew it would be. Thank you so much Marissa and Nate for choosing us to be part of your wedding day!

Rochelle and Mark found me all the way from the UK. I didn’t actually meet them until a few days before their wedding but I felt like I knew them forever. I planned their wedding about a year ahead of time so we had lots of contact back and forth. I heard mostly from Rochelle except it was so cute right before they came out to Vegas Mark was planning wedding day morning gifts for his bride to be. We planned a foot/leg massage while she was getting her makeup done that really made her day. He also wanted her favorite sparkling wine and bouquet of flowers delivered to her that morning. It was so sweet. Their wedding was unique because it essentially was a week long for them and all their guests. They all came together and left together on the same flight so this celebration was truly an amazing group of friends and family. Thank you Rochelle and Mark for choosing us to plan your wedding day! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding day.

After the gorgeous wedding we had this weekend, it had me thinking about wedding traditions. I don’t mean the typical garter and bouquet toss or the first dance. There are so many ways to start your own traditions and it truly brings meaning for your family and friends. You see last night a cousin of the bride came up to me during the mother/son dance and asked if in the middle of the song we could call up all of the sons that were there with their moms to join them on the dance floor then the same for the fathers and daughters. It was so sweet and the groom also danced with his “new” mother. They share this at all their family weddings and it is the perfect touch especially when some songs are longer but the bride and groom want to keep the length of it. Another tradition I know of is very close to me as we did it at my sisters wedding. Her and her high school friends all sing to each bride at their wedding “Ain’t no mountain high enough”. It is sweet and entertaining (especially after a few drinks). Traditions do not have to big something that is done either. It can also be something you wear such as jewelry, a purse, garter, etc. It’s just important if your close friends or family members you want to start a tradition with pass the item along to each person next in line. Also it will double as an engagement present with meaning.
If you are getting married soon just think of how cool it would be for your wedding to begin a new tradition with your friends and family. Each time you do it at weddings it will get bigger and better and really add that special touch of love. Please contact me for any planning advice or assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Can I get married all over again? After attending the Wedding MBA, I saw new trends for 2017 and one stood out completely to me: Floral print. I have always been in love with different floral designs and I would say about 30 percent of my wardrobe has some kind of floral in it. Of course with any trend, it can be over done. Here is a few different ideas to add just the right amount to your wedding day.
- The Dress- Incorporate as little or as much print into your wedding gown or the bridesmaids dresses like the gown:
- The Stationary- Add floral print from the invitations (love it in the envelope liners) to the menus and place cards at the wedding:
- The Cake- adding flowers to the cake is gorgeous but take it to the next leven and test your bakers skills like this:
- The Place Settings- keep it classy with just adding a hint of it. Choose from the napkin, or table runner, or my absolute favorite the charger seen in photo below:
Just keep the patterns similar throughout and simple. Do not have a floral print table cloth, with floral napkin, floral runner, and floral charger. Stick to just a few items spread out throughout the reception. This is a bold new wedding trend and I absolutely love it. If you are willing to try this style or something bold, I would love to be part of your wedding day! Please contact me for more information on all your wedding planning desires!

From the second I met Aaron and Joey I knew I had to be part of their wedding day. Not only for the amazing ideas they had but also just because they showed so much love and passion for each other. Of course I all our couples are in love but these two were different because that sparkle never left their eyes. Meeting them made me realize how important it is to always show your significant other how in love you are with them. They wed over memorial day weekend inside of the Havana Room at the Tropicana. Their request to guests were black tie formal and only black attire. The details that went into this wedding just made it come to life. As a couple in the entertainment business, they had to deliver and did they ever. Aaron even had a chance to perform a beautiful duet with his friend Autumn that he sang to his groom!
Aaron & Joey, thank you for choosing us to be part of your celebration and trusting us throughout the planning process. You both are an inspiration to everyone who knows you. The love you two share does not come often and I am so thankful I was able to witness such a true romance. There was a team of amazing vendors that helped make this wedding possible at the bottom of this post. Lisa and Jamison, thank you for capturing this wedding. I enjoyed working with you both again and can’t wait until the next one! Please enjoy some of my favorite images from this romantic event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I just wanted to say a quick Thank you to everyone in my life for all your support during this past year. It has been a while since I had time to blog about our events but the wait was so worth it. I didn’t get to blog about my pregnancy or anything but this little amazing, fiery spirited girl came into our lives and is the best surprise we will ever have. Our daughter Stoli was born 4 months ago and she’s so awesome. Although I worked throughout my pregnancy and even had a wedding a few days before I went into labor and another right after, I made sure to keep some time aside for this sweet little angel. I can’t wait until she is older to be my little wedding planning assistant. Thank you Lullaby Lane for capturing our little newborn.

Krystal & Ryan
Krystal and Ryan are from Iowa and contacted us to be their Day of Coordinator. We didn’t officially meet until they came into town their wedding weekend. They are definitely the perfect match for each other. Ryan was very laid back and quiet and Krystal had all sorts of beautiful ideas. In fact, a majority of their wedding was created by Krystal and her bridesmaids which I will talk more about later. Their wedding ceremony took place at the Signature towers MGM. Although it was close to 100 degrees, the space was shaded and turned out to be perfect for their nuptials. They had about 75 of their closest friends and families all of which traveled to share the special moment with them. The decor for the ceremony was very simple. Their guests sat on each side of the rose petal aisle in white garden chairs with the natural palm tree background as the backdrop of their vows. They each had 3 attendants on each side of them, along with their two little boys as their ring bearers and the Maid of Honor’s daughter as the flower girl. Krystal’s oldest son and mother walked her down the aisle. One of my favorite ceremony surprises ever happened. Krystal stopped when she had to put the ring on Ryan and instead of giving him the ring that he thought was his, she pulled out a ring that he wanted to get but was out of their budget. It was so sweet and the look on Ryan’s face was priceless. Following the ceremony, the guests were shuttled over to the Monte Carlo for the cocktail hour while the bridal party and immediate family went to the Las Vegas Sign for formal pictures photographed by Lucas Strawhorn Photography. The reception was in the ballroom at Monte Carlo and guests were able to sit wherever they wanted. Guests were greeted by the Videographer Tim to say something to the couple. The room was decorated in white linens with purple accents which were rented from Las Vegas Rentals. The DIY items I spoke earlier about that Krystal made were a beautiful glittery card box and centerpieces which were a cluster of 3 vases with bling on the top, filled with diamonds, water, and a light. They were perfect for the simple, yet elegant bling look she wanted. In place of a guestbook, they had a frame for everyone to sign that will be hung on their wall with a photo of them from the wedding. The cake was made by Monte Carlo. It was white with just a little bling on each layer and a double bling heart cake topper. After they were introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Marshall for the first time, they went into their first dance Beyonce “You are my Rock”. Their MC and DJ was DJ Tim. Also, as a great surprise, Ryan’s cousin also sang the Beyonce song for them a-cappella after each of the mother’s toasts. Following the song, the groomsmen and one of the maid of honors, said their toasts then we went into dancing followed by cake cutting. The last thing was the garter and bouquet toss. The dance floor then reopened to all and they had the best mix of R & B, hip hop, and pop to keep everyone on the dance floor. This was a gorgeous wedding for a beautiful and sweet couple. We were so honored they chose us to be their day of coordinator.
Thank you so all the vendors who helped make this wedding day as they desired:
